Dr. Waris Anwar

Dr Waris Anwar completed his MBBS degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore in 1996. He did house job in Medicine and surgery from Jinnah Hospital Lahore then got his post graduate training in dermatology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore. In 2002, he went to USA and did G.E.S.T fellow ship in dermatology from university of Miami School of Medicine / Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami Florida. 

During his fellowship he also got a chance to learn clinical dermatology from Dr Kerdel who is considered as a renown clinical dermatology professor, Then he was blessed to work with Dr Leslie beumann, MD to learn Aesthetics dermatology from her including Laser for hair removal, laser for tattoo removal, Botox and fillers.

After his return in 2003, he started giving services of hair transplant. He is treating skin & hair patients in his clinic with the name of “Dr Waris Anwar Aesthetics” situated in Gulberg, Lahore. He is also running his own charity clinic in Shadbagh, to serve needy and poor people there since last 21 years, where he offers FREE consultations for widows, orphan and other deserving people. Approximately 234 hair restoration surgeons have completed the rigorous pathway to achieve the designation of DIPLOMATE OF THE AMERICAN BOARD OF HAIR RESTORATION SURGERY, Dr Waris Anwar being ONE OF THEM. The ABHRS exam stands as the only psychometrically and statistically validated examination dedicated to the specialty of hair restoration surgery. The ABHRS is the only recognized board certification by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, (ISHRS) the largest hair restoration education society in the world. In 2019 Dr Waris Anwar gave this ABHRS exam and took the top position in that exam.

He is the first Pakistani Doctor who achieved Dr. Norman Orentreich award in both written & oral part, which is a great achievement of Pakistan in hair transplant field worldwide. Hair Transplant surgeons from 26 countries participated in this exam & most of them were from Europe & USA. This will definitely help to highlight Pakistan on an international level.
